Just to the right of that D&C steamer on the right, was a huge sawmill. Behind or downstream from the steamer are the stacked lumber from the mill. Today all that remains are the stubs of the pilings along the bank. Where the mill was is now the turning basin. The steamer is located just about where the Mackinaw sits now.
