1. I find as I move around that I loose my log in.
2. I wanted to test uploading pictures, but can't find a place to do it.
3. It took me a while to find "Forum" off on the left to find Bug Reports.
It used to be up center.
4. You can move pictures in my personal album into the historical album
that you think can go there. I sent a message about that.
5. Thanks for working on this over the holidays. I'm sure you would
rather be doing something else.
6. I just tryed to submit and it says this is an invalid session?
7. On the second try it submitted.
8. I see what is happening. I go to album still logged in, but when I go to any named albums, I get logged out, and that is why I can't find an upload button. If I log in, in the named album, it jumps me back to the home page. It creates a circle where you can't upload pictures.
9. I came back to edit spelling and it says I have a invalid session again.

1. Does anybody else loose their log in? It hasn't happened to me.
2. Does the upload pic icon not show up at the top of the selected album?
3. I still need to add a link for the forum to the links at the top of the page.
4. I couldn't move your pics with the old album, not sure if I can with this version.
5. You're welcome, I actually enjoy "working" on this thing.
6. I'll check in to the session error. Anybody else have session problems? I know Clover was having the same problems before the upgrade. _________________ Come spend some time at our place...

I edited my post and added #8 and #9. Maybe it will help.
Something else. Even though I get logged out of the album catagories, I can still see the pictures. Before, if I was logged out, I could not see the pictures. I wonder if anyone visiting the site can see the pictures without being a member? |

I tried to use a back door way to get to a picture and be logged in to a album category. I went to some forem posting that link to the pictures. Those links no longer work. I do see that Bruce Lord was able to post a picture. Maybe I'm the only one with this, get logged out, problem? _________________ mwhite@wildblue.net

Mike, could you please expand on those links?
I cleared the sessions table and sessions_key table. We'll see if that helps you. I also found this while searching the phpbb site:
Quote: | It's not a common occurrence. Looking at the code I can think of only one reason it would happen. There is a query just before sessions.php tries to insert into the sessions table where it tries to update the sessions table instead. There is a check for session_id and session_ip. SOME service providers will have users on dynamic IPs or will refresh their IPs so a user might have the same session but a different IP so the "failsafe" (update) query will fail in such a case and then jump into trying to insert into the sessions table. | When I looked into the sessions_keys table you had multiple ip's associated with your user id. I can't understand why you're just starting to have problems now though. Clover, who is on wildblue.net also, has been having session problems for the past few months.

We hooked up a third computer here and have been trying for days to make all three stay on the internet at once. We have unplugged the modem many times. We have asked the LAN to repair itself many times. This may be the cause of multiple IP's. I have no idea how to solve that.
You asked for me to expand on links to pictures.
Go to Conservation Corner - BBI Flowers and see that each post has a link to a picture, example:
Beach Pea
This one may be remembered by those who used to lay on blankets and sun themselves at Sand Bay.

It is still the same. I stay logged in until I go to an album catagory. When I log in there, it jumps me back to the home page and I am logged back in.
I also still have to submit these posts twice, because the first submission gets a invalid session message. _________________ mwhite@wildblue.net

If I log-on, go to the Album, then click the back arrow, I return to the Home page without getting logged-out.
If I log-on, go to the Album, then click Home, I return to the Home page logged-out.
Probably something not related is the fact that the program can't remember me for log-on.
This is the second attempt at submitting this because when I clicked submit the last time, it jumped to the log in screen. This time I will copy what I have written so I won't have to type it all over again. I will copy the invalid session messge if it comes up. _________________ mwhite@wildblue.net

I will now try to copy the invalid Session. Please resubmit the form.
Invalid Session. Please resubmit the form.
That is a Ctrl-c copy. _________________ mwhite@wildblue.net

Mike I changed the cookie settings. Could you delete your cookies and see if that helps anything?
I'm using IE8, the path is: Tools>>Internet Options>>Browsing History:Delete>>Select Cookies check box _________________ Come spend some time at our place...

I have IE8 too. I deleted the cookies. I also noticed the Trusted Sites box at the top. I went to Trusted Sites and found that I had put the BBI site in there twice to see if that would help with log-on. That was probably a bad idea. At the bottom I had checked "Require server verification (HTTPS) for all sites in this zone. I removed both entries.
I restarted the computer just in case and now I'm back. One change is now when I get logged-out, the color scheme doesn't go back to green from the blue I see right now.
I was directed to the log-in when I submitted, even though I am logged in. I was able to get back to all this typing by using the back button. Better Ctrl-c.
By relogging in and pasting the message saved, and trying again, I finally posted.
I haven't seen the invalid session box though. _________________ mwhite@wildblue.net

I now have to log-in again when I click the postreply button.
I went to Tools-Internet Options-Security-Internet-Custom Level Security Settings-User Authentication.
I changed to auto logon with current name and password, instead of only in an intranet zone. I don't really know what I'm doing, but just trying to see if it makes any difference in the remembering me department. So far it appears to make no difference except for needing to log in to postreply. _________________ mwhite@wildblue.net

I went to the site this morning and it remembered me. I was automatically logged-on. When I switch to album, I had to log in again. Then when I switch to an album catagory, I log in again. Still no buttons to upload pictures. It is getting better though. I haven't heard from anyone else having problems. I must assume that it is my computer set up. I ordered a router with built in switch to replace my linksys switch. Maybe that will help?
At first, when I clicked album, I got this error.
Network Error (tcp-error)
Communication error - "no route to host"
Later I got this error.
Network Error (tcp-error)
Communication error - "Connection refused"
Was that generated from my own LAN or from the BBI website? Ctrl-c here.
It made me log on when I submitted even though it said I was logged on. Ctrl-c again.
Now I get Invalid Session. Please resubmit-- Ctrl-c again. _________________ mwhite@wildblue.net

Rob, heres a new twist for review?
Logged in and clicked on my name/link right upper to see what it brought up.
What I got was a white page with "hacker attempt" in the corner... Tried it twice and was identified as a hacker twice. So still hacking away...
I can appreciate the time you have into this, wading your way through, and trying to get things as they were but upgraded to current BBPHP...Has to be a hair ripper learning curve. Not sure I would have patience, enough... I used to do code and thats why I am not normal, now. Beyond human tolerance thresholds. Looks good so far... now come the hair ripper quirks. Wish I could help but this is over my head.

Thanks, I never noticed that. It's fixed now.

Ron, I've recently been messing with the cookie settings. Log out, delete your cookies and log back in again. See if it remembers you after you leave again.
P.S. If you click "Log Out" when you're leaving, it will not remember you. _________________ Come spend some time at our place...

Hijacked your account to test if the problem was with your account. It doesn't seem to be the case. _________________ mwhite@wildblue.net

I don't know if this will provide any problem insight or confuse things further... food for though.
I have DSL with 2 hardwired pcs onto a modem/router and a third on linksys wireless (laptop only).
3 years ago, I had all on wifi and what a mess which is why I went to wired... sub IP # change each time a machine is turned on/off.
If you are getting "network error" messages it maybe some snag in home system; IP not recognized???
I am having no problem logging on/off BBI, page changes etc. As it was.
I think that if you can wire your pcs into a modem port, less variables. _________________ Remember, half the people you know are below average. |

I haven't tried to reply to a post in quite awhile because I always got that invalid_session error message no matter how many times I tried to submit it, but I'm hoping this one works. I did delete my cookies too. _________________ What goes around........comes around. |
