I can't even remember all the things I did to be able to log in again.

Last night while running CCleaner, I noticed that I had two cookies listed for this site. One was Bois-Blanc.com and the other had the phpBB2 on the end.

I allowed the CCleaner to delete both. This is a free utility that cleans up crap in your computer. That is what the first C stands for maybe.

I bought a anti-spyware program called STOPzilla, which found some spyware. So it removed a dozen things.

I did a bunch of other things too, so I can't pinpoint the actual solution.

Anyway, I may be back.

As I navigate around I thought everything was back to normal. I now can see thumbnail pictures, but not the bigger ones. Then I went back to the main page and it was blank. So this is not over yet.

I did leave the site and came back, and it remembered me, and I was logged-in. One problem solved.

My default browser is now FireFox. I deleted IE8 to eliminate problems. It appears that I still have IE7 and it can't be deleted.

Next step is to see if I can upload a picture. Too bad I can't view it.

Rob, I think I found a glitch. So now I get to bug you again. Very Happy

I went to upload a picture to the sub-category - Historicals, but it says I can't because that category does not exist or something like that. Sure enough, it is not listed below where you can make a selection.

That page was Album_upload.php?cat_id52

I tried accessing the BBI site from my desktop ( which I seldom use). Has a 16x9 ratio monitor... (1440 x 900) Loaded fine, came up full screen to accomodate the home page... expanded correctly when I brought it up to full screen on the monitor. No horizontal scroll bar

My guess is that the home page width exceeds the resolution capacity (or screen wxh settings) of older monitors in 3x4 of 4x5 ratio...

No log in issues...

I have no log in issues either, but
1. age is about 1 1/2 times the size of my monitor
2. Get thumbnail pics but can't open any of them -
I get all the comments etc. but just get the red x in a small square

My Main computer has an extra wide screen and pics just fis on there and works fine except it will not remember the login

RP, I am just guessing here but maybe worth a try?

Screen size: Set this in control panel> display. Maybe set to something like 800x 600 ??? which would bring up home page at 60-70% full width.

If you are getting red xs on photos, it isn't finding the photos. Right click on the thumbnail> properties. and see if it comes up with a link. A link may also appear in LL corner of IE if you run your mouse over the thumbnail. Either a settings issue or outdated java script driver which may be fixed by updating.

Not remembering password: Check security settings in IE... Tools> Internet options. if set too high, it blocks all cookies which are required to remember. I have mine set one notch above medium.

I don't know if any of this will work but those are things I would have a look at and maybe try. Just remember what you did incase you have to change it back. One issue at a time...

that's right, most monitors are capable of running 1024x768 at a minimum. Doing this will also most likely improve your experience across other websites you visit (as well as Windows itself). However if you're eyesight is bad then this might make things harder to see/read. Also if you are using a wide-screen monitor make sure to choose a widescreen resolution to keep things from looking "stretched".

Here is a link to the java update website to get the latest version of java.

In Firefox click Tools > Options > Security Tab > check "Remember Passwords For Sites"

Kacy & Conis, thanks for helping. School is back in session for me, so time for the site is back down to nil.

Yeah... Thanks Kacy... I somehow manage to fumble around and trouble shoot my own equipment, mostly because I set it up... There are many still using CRT monitors ande older LCD monitors, still resolution-set at what was current as of vintage.

I'm not familiar with Firefox although I know many have crossed the river from IE. Supposedly better. IE works for me and I am too lazy to learn something different.
