try www.wunderground.com to get a weather box for the website that works. This is my fav.weather website - light years superior to weather.com

I posted this in the other forum topic but...

Here are some alternative weather widget options if the NOAA one isn't doing it for you:

The Weather Bug Widget looks pretty good. Its similar to the desktop Widget that I use on my Windows7 machines, which is pretty decent.

Sorry, swamped with school and work again. I don't remember what weatherbox we were using before but I remember that you (Conis) looked into it and determined that it was generating alot of undesireable traffic.

Maybe I'll get some time to "play" here when spring break rolls around in six weeks or so.

Let me see. We were discussing weather-spam plug ins and unpainted jeeps. I'll go with the weather plug in

Rob check your email. I sent you a DIY, NWS plug in, copy and paste.

As I recall, the problem with these ad supported "cut-paste" weather web site plug ins was the amount of tracker cookie spam that came with them. Clog up pcs with cookie spam and slow downloads... The irony is they all get their weather data from NWS anyway, camoflague it and re present it with abundant tracker ads. The weather info is only a facade.

Weatherbug: Been there, done that. Great until you get tired of it and attempt to delete it. Good luck. I think that bug buries itself in the Pcs BIOS... On your knees and plead. PLEASE JUST GO AWAY. Then Format Drive C:, and start over. Weatherbug... still there.

Conis, got your e-mails, lookin' good. Now if you could just put all those things to use that would be great. Let me know if you want to try, it's pretty easy. Edit phpBB2\templates\sub(xxxx)\portal_header.tpl for the banners and phpBB2\templates\sub(xxxx)\portal_body.tpl for the weather box. Have at it. Very Happy

subTrail= green & tan template
