Latest polls on CNN have Paul at 8% and Perry at 7% (both near the bottom).

I think I was pretty clear where I was getting the information, CNN as stated in my post.

I just heard the same exact results on Fox news presented by Megan Kelly.

My point here isn't that I actually believe its true. In fact I am buying into John's theory that its all lies by the media machine.

Troy deals in exaggerations.
Quote:

It is NOT all lies. Most of what the MSM does is omit or limit pertinent information and or details. For instance, why would the MSM, CBS in this case, air a debate of Republican Presidential candidates and give Ron Paul only 89 seconds in one hour?

And since this CBS debate was centered around Foreign Policy and Who would be the best Commander in Chief, one would think that Ron Paul, who sits on the Foreign Relations Committee and has written the book, "A foreign Policy of Freedom. Peace, Commerce, and Honest Friendship", one would think he would be offered at least equal time as the others who do not have a sniff.

Whatever agendas the MSM mega rich elites have often do not include airing concepts or people that will threaten their bottom line, ie, the governmental corporate welfare gravy train.

There are the elites and the rest of us. The rest of us only have numbers. The elite have MONEY coming out of their a...s. They TRY to control the conversation. They sensationalize events to turn our opinion one way or the other. The MSM is the mouthpiece of the Federal Government. That is why we must have many sources of information. Often, very often, we learn some seedy details about individuals that NEVER hit the MSM. For instance, the Aquila Energy debacle Herman Cain was involved in. So far, I haven't heard a peep about that on the MSM.

I could go on. But, Troy, please do not put words in my mouth. You can quote me on this: I do not trust the MSM just as I do not trust the Federal Government and the crap they espouse through the MSM.

You are right Troy. It is lies, especially Fox News if you have been following the the News Corp scandal which owns Fox News.

Here is RP on CBS, "Face the Nation" with Bob Schieffer. (sp?)

Ron looks young next to Schieffer. Listen to his command of history, facts and logic in his responses.

Thanks.

It seems every viable cadidate that offers an alternative to the 2 party's failed policies is branded as crazy. Yet the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

This year, for the first time in my life, I will not vote for Obama or Romney or Butt/sex/juice (Santorum...see google search, 2nd definition).

We get the same thing either way. So if RP aint on the list, either is my vote.

I believe Obama will slaughter Romney or Gingrich or Butt juice. Certainly no democrats will cross over to vote for this group of idiots. But there is a large group of democrats that will cross over for Ron Paul. I see Obama is now trimming down our 'military' size...mmmm, just in time to recapture the peace niks vote. Clever ploy, but it is only a political gesture and no real cuts will be made.

If not Ron Paul, then we will continue the insanity.

Steve, are you implying I am a "young" RP follower? Thanks.

Every day is a weekend for me, Steve. You have a great wkend too.

Watch the debates tonight. Friday jan 6th. Share your thoughts here later.

I've gone to FcBk and a million other blogs or comment areas and I have to say that I enjoy talking with the few voices on the BBI site every bit as much as folks on the other sites.

Wouldn't it have been nice, if all the drop outs would have thrown there backing to Ron Paul? That would have shaken up the contest and made for some excitement. Oh well.

One of the cutest things I have seen was about Newt:

Trying to get your daughters from your first wife to make everyone believe that your second wife is lying about your third wife!

Ron, that is just too funny and too true.

I have been holding myself back from postin about RP. I have said it all on this site.

As I watch the debates and the MSM, ie, abc, nbc, cbs, cnn, fox, msnbc, etc. I am just amazed that those spin meisters are TELLING you and me who to vote for. We do not have to accept their choices which are the CORPORATE MEDIA picks. The more they tell me that Romney or Gingrich or Santorum, aka, Mitt Newtorum, is the one, the more I ......

never mind.

OK kids...Listen up.

Some people still have confidence in the government "electorial process" Process WTF?. Let's define "government" outside the box.

There are splits between true liberals and "democrats" posing as liberals, Same with true conservatives and "republicans", posing as conservatives.

In the middle are the libertarians and ther rest of the "none of above" including independants.

You with me?

A third party independant winning is from Pluto. Just a vote stealer (HR Perot)

So then, it is dems vs republicans (re read the above)

If Ron Paul actually won the election, he would be 100% totally ineffective since the government isn't swayed by conservatives any longer, but by Dems and Reps. The 1%ers.

Addiitionally, Ron Paul has 100% totally screwed himself by association with the GOP. Sorry guys, odd man out in the wrong country club.He simply lacks the money, ties and GOP support.. THAT IS THE POLITICAL REALITY ... and pretty much explains why he isn't given press time; wrong country club.

So then.. Who gives a F. All this what if drivel and a buck buys a pack of gum.

Prediction: GOP is in crash/burn mode and Paul in that wake. Obama will be reelected lacking any viable alternative.

Circle the wagons. Ever man for himself. The "electrorial process" is what we get to watch on TV. The rest of it is pre decided.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Follow the money and have a nice day.

(I like Rp's ideas and philosophy, I follow his forums on FBook, mostly for entertainment and fantasy politics. I would vote for the guy, just because I could and it wouldn't make things any worse. Right now, I am writing in the tooth fairy 11/2012

However... At the ripe age I am. I just don't have the time and enthusiasm to waste time on issues or politicians obviously headed for nowhere. Been there. Inclusive all the GOP loser candidates.)

(...ripe age I am....)???

Ron Paul is 16 yrs older than you. You are still wet behind the ears.

Two people gave a total of $10,000,000 to Newt Gingrich. That's TWO votes.

Two million people gave $5 bucks each to RP for a total of $10,000,000....Oh, that's TWO MILLION VOTES.

"No army can defeat ideas." (RP)

You're right, it is all about money....AND VOTES.

@jee

I see you are still stuck on the electorial process dog and pony show as frequently seen on MSM. Grade 7 civics class style? Exactly what does the nominee vote of the populace have to do with any of this?

No army can defeat ideas? Groovy. Money can buy political power and this isn't an idea, it's a fact. Ideas are free. The reality is that the GOP is owned by republican 1%ers ( as opposed to neo-conservatives like Ron Paul which isn't a good fit in the republican agenda.)

What about the Dem's and independants that don't want anything to do with anyone or anything remotely connected to the GOP? Registered Democrats wont vote in the Michigan GOP primary, anyway. So this leaves what?

Toss our Rick Snyder in this mix and his successful alienation of Michigan voters away from ALL of the forthcoming GOP ticket.

Hypothetical: The GOP wants to beat Obama? Ron Paul would likely get far more votes as an independant than being branded a Republican (if he were nominated). As an independant, we would then have the H R Perot syndrome with not enough votes to put Paul in, but enough to sway the election most likely toward the Dems.

The president isn't like a "king". Until the GOP 1%ers are flushed out of congress-senate, it won't make one iota differrence who the president is. Obama, Ron Paul or the Tooth Fairy. The government (corporationment) will continue to be just as partisan and dysfunctional as it already is. Hijacked by $$$$.

Thats how our system NOW works.

Conis, I understand your take. Gazillionaires run the show.

Cuz we let them...

The sheeple plug into the boob tube, Buy into their crap, and then vote to maintain the status quo. No revelation there.

But there is, however, millions that have enough on the ball to see through the corporate media BS. Young people and independents like RP. IF....and it is a big IF....if the masses got their heads out of their a..es they could elect someone with ideas that go against the "media chosen ones."

I will vote in the February Michigan Primary. I have low expectations that MI will vote against the "boob tube" chosen ones...Mitt Newtorum. But because I believe in fighting the system, I will vote for you know who...

I agree with you. I just choose to foolishly rail against the machine. You continue to tell us what the machine is. I get it.
