The number 3 loomed large at the end of last week. In the midst of the sprint to $5-a-gallon gas, our president claimed there was nothing he could do about it. Even if we started drilling now, it wouldn't reach the pumps for three years !
Friday the 24th marked the third-year anniversary of his enormous stimulus package.
The former indicates the lack of planning, while the lattern provides a report card on the Obama administration.
The thrust of the administration leans toward social engineering at the expense of any solutions to our current crisis.
Obama lacks faith in the American people and only looks to manage, not lead ! He will contine to take credit when there is good news, then blame someone else when things aren't so good ~~

If the GOP put Ron P on the ticket they could get some Dems to cross over,But as far as the rest of those clowns go.. what a joke. Any American who pays their 25 to 30% percent and votes for a guy who pays 13% (before his write offs) needs to get off the crack pipe...

He didn't write the tax code and he doesn't prepare his own tax return. But I agree that people shouldn't smoke crack or vote for someone who doesn't understand economics.

Alright I guess my crack pipe comment was over the top..I had a Rush L. moment. Any American who pays their 25 to 30% percent and votes for a guy who pays 13% (before his write offs) needs to get a big black rubber mat and put it at the bottom of their stairs so they quit falling and bummping their head. 3-putt,
Love you like a Brother, BUT Nobody pays any Taxes except withholding BEFORE write off, no matter what the % is. The final % is determined by gross income minus deductions, AND the CATEGORY of the income. Once the tax rate and amount is determined, you then deduct any tax credit , that is the amount you then pay. Wink

PostPosted: Wed Mar 14, 2012 9:01 am    Post subject: It's Obamas fault Reply with quote

I suppose this is President Obama's fault as it is a part of the new health care plan called ObamaCare.
---------------------------------------------------
As the deadline nears for health insurance companies to start returning rebates of nearly $1.4 billion to consumers, the lobbyists have moved in to stop it.

This year for the first time, companies that don't spend at least 80 percent of our premium dollars on health care must give us a rebate or lower our rates. But a bill has surfaced in Congress to undermine this new right, giving most of the money we deserve right back to the insurance industry!

We're not going to let that happen, and we need you, and anyone you know who's concerned about skyrocketing health insurance costs, to join us.

Tell Congress: Hold the health insurance companies accountable. It's our money!

This rebate makes sure insurance companies account for how they spend our money, and encourages them to use the bulk of premiums for customers' health care, not their CEO salaries, paperwork, marketing and sales costs.

The deadline for the first round of rebate checks is August 1. And it's estimated insurers owe millions of Americans nearly $1.4 billion! That's a REAL incentive for companies to get their costs under control just like the rest of us are having to do.

Send your message now! It's time consumer voices drown out the lobbyists!

This is shaping up as an epic battle, because we know the insurance companies don't want to give our money back. If you've ever been frustrated by a health insurance company that seems accountable to no one, now is the time to speak out. Please take action, and stay engaged with us as we continue to fight for the best consumer value in health insurance.

Sincerely,

Jim Guest

We can stop all of this by uniting the middle class. When the unions and the small businesses realize that their group is the middle class instead of a political party we can straighten out a lot of issues. Money will always play a major role in politics because of human nature. We can afford our own candidates and our voting power would be unmatched by any group. If this would have happened 30 years ago this country would have jobs, a strong economy, global respect, secure borders, affordable healthcare and no national debt.

This is for all.

I acknowledge the impossibility of changing a person's convictions by words, and recognize that people think, feel, and see things from their own point of view.

Gleaned from the book, War and Peace.

Socialism is socialism.
If what you believe in is socialism then say so. Say to me "I believe in socialism and redistributing the wealth, therefore I am voting for Obama and the democrats." Tell me you believe that the only way we can exist is if the government runs our lives. I can deal with that. Just be honest. If this is what you believe than stand up and shout it. But when you spend all your time trying to argue that's not what it is, all credibility is lost.
I'll come out and say " I believe in Capitalism. I believe in letting the markets dictate labor, pricing and production.
If you don't take care of your employees they are free to move on. Eventually you lose good people and the competition gets them, if you don't produce a product people want, you don't sell, if you can't produce it at a reasonable price others will.

Apple, Walmart, Ford etc. seem to have figured out.
Solyndra, Unisolar, Beacon Power, EnerDel, Ener1, Spectrawatt, Abound Solar just to name a few that have received Obama grants couldn't make it.
No, Romney, Santorium, Gingrich and Paul are not the greatest answer for the right, but I'll back whoever is nominated. I'd vote for Jimmy Carter if that was the only other choice.
My point is, be honest with what you are supporting.
By the way, if you are having surgery, check with the hospital that they a good supply of the drugs needed before hand. Thanks to the stage of Obama care we are in, the hospital had to postpone her surgery until they were allotted more drugs. True dat.
Sure hope we get rid of that change.

What we're doing in the U.S. isn't socialism. Socialism doesn't allow private ownership of land or industry and everyone shares in the workload. What we're doing is some kind of robinhood sh** that breeds dependancy and feelings of entitlement.

Right Guy, you are so full of crap about someone's surgery being postponed because of "the stage of Obamacare" that we're in. Drug companies are not producing much needed drugs, once they lose exclusivity to the rights, and generics can be made, because the profit-margin isn't as astronomical. Our government is looking at implementing incentives, if not mandates, to these "free marketers" to ensure a reliable supply of much needed drugs. Without government, acting as a 'cop on the beat', big pharma can't be trusted to produce life-saving medications, if they aren't making a large enough profit, because the free market cares little for humanity, it cares only for profit. This society we live in, is not a black and white, closed-loop, exercise in accounting and profitability. We are humans, with many and varied needs. There will not always be a company to step in and fill every need, if the monetary reward is not great enough. Thank goodness for government! Thank goodness for regulation! Without it, the Machiavellian tactics of big business would have the larger portion of humanity living in squalor, suffering from cancers and every other malady that would be caused by an unregulated product stream. All's fair in the name of PROFIT right?! I talk to my Canadian friends about their healthcare every time we meet. They love it! They expose the false propaganda of the party of the wealthy and the party of the insurance and drug companies with stories of the great successes of the socialized healthcare system that they enjoy. I'm heading to the Netherlands soon, another success story with "socialized" medicine. Can't wait to talk to folks there and get some first-hand input. When FOX NEWS and Rush provide your info-stream, you're living a deluded existence, that has little in common with real-world experience. Repubs love that FEAR....goes hand in hand with religion, plutocracy, aristocracy, ....the manipulation of the ignorant and gullible to further your selfish agenda. FEAR. What a way to live.

Believe it or not. Don't care.
Yeah, I'll admit I'm fearful of what's happening.
Stuff like this really scares me.

You 2 are the perfect example of why our country is failing. The government has you convinced that you're enemies when in fact you are both middle class. Our government caters to the very rich and beats down the poor with the middle class paychecks. I doubt that either one of you want the rich to pay a different % of tax than you, and I bet you don't mind helping the poor with REASONABLE assistance. We'll never see that day because the 2 party system we have divides the only group that has any common sense and therefore makes us useless. The next time you see the rich getting bailed out or a welfare recipient with a car, a cellphone, cable tv, cigarettes, alcohol, tatoos and so on rethink who your political group is.

Our "country" is not failing Rich. Our system of government IS failing, due to the overwhelming influence of special interest money. Just look at the Supreme Court, as they consider whether having a populace with access to affordable healthcare is a necessary, constitutional thing. They're already split, right down liberal/conservative lines, without considering the obvious benefits that everyone agrees are positive, when taken individually. It boils down to this: Do you want Oil, Gas, Drug, Insurance, Wal-Mart, executives crafting our national policy, or do you care the actual well-being of the people who live and work here?
