Kayakalakeaday is upon us. Once again we will try to balance having a blast and kayaking at the same time.

We will boat Lake Mary on Wednesday late afternoon. After that, we plan the next lakes over liquid inspiration.

Remember the mantra, "There is no such thing as bad weather...just bad clothes." So bring wet, cool, weather paddling gear and we will enjoy all conditions.

Hope to see some new-bees...Doug Miller!!! Jeff Duncan!!! Eric Gibbons!!! Dan Zanoli!!!

JEE, 99.9% of BBI News has moved to Facebook. It's 2013 now ... You are the .1% ? It's painless.

I do not do FBk beyond my family. As you know, I have no friends.

Anyway, I communicate on the "old" bbi site. After all, that is where I live my quality time.

Kayakalakeaday is simply some Island Lovers getting together to appreciate the finer points of BBI. We mostly laugh. so if you are not into laughing you would hate K-7.

WE will kayak/canoe L. Mary, Wednesday, May 8, 2013, about at 5:30 to 6 pm at the eastern most L. Mary launch point. Rain Snow or shine. Bring liquid bravery.

I forgot to mention, after the L Mary cruise, we will congregate somewhere. Stay tuned. Peace.

K-7 is in the books. We paddled five lakes this time! We started with an east end Lake Huron cruise on Wednesday afternoon. Calm waters and 70s temps made for a great paddle.

Thursday, we did Twin lakes. Best trip ever. 70s, very gentle breeze, nice paddling.

Friday we did a Misty paddle on Lake Thompson and quiet trip on Lake Mary in the afternoon.

Saturday, before the rain and snow, we did a casual cruise of Deer Lake.

The beauty never ceases to amaze. See ya next yr I hope.

See the pics Here I hope: https://picasaweb.google.com/110943033524869914586/Kayakalakeaday7May8122013?authkey=Gv1sRgCLD48seK1tPcywE#5878383758448287666

Thanks Rob and Ron.
Better scenery is hard to find.

This is only the second time we have had two Michigan paddlers. Other than me, Mike White and Randy Scott were the other MI guys. Indiana and Ohio have made the bulk of the folks paddling.

We'll do it again next yr.
