Well Hi back at you, John! Very Happy You should start a personal photo album so you can share pics of Fred and Lucy.. I like chickens but the area we live in isn't good for them.. We have fox and coyote and racoons to bug them or I would have a few laying hens.. Check out my personal album and you will find my pet pictures.. I need to get one of my cats in there too!

We have chickens here too. We have about 14 but they aren't 8 years old.
I didn't know chickens lived to be 8! My favorite chicken is Puffy Cheeks and she hatches most of the eggs. She only lays a couple then steals the other chickens eggs because they never lay on them. Puffy ends up laying on 14-15 eggs and she is a small chicken! Laughing

Oh Chickens! I had a chick that we brought to the island every weekend until she was big enough to stay with the hens. Her name was Cheep-cheep, because that was her sound. She would come to the patio door every night and peck on it to come in and roost- but I was mean and put her out with the chickens. A year ago on New Year's it was nice out but got dark too fast and she roosted ina tree Crying or Very sad something found her before I did. We have had Henney Penney who was the best mother hen - she lived 8 years, I still have two of her babies...:Little Red Hen and Fluffy, fluffy is a coqchin(?) she has feathered legs and feet. And I have 2 Rhode Island Reds. We let them free range during the day but they stay in the coop/barn at night. I have a sitter for them when we come up.
