If anyone ever needs firewood....don't hesitate to call Stuart. We came up for a bow hunting trip last Saturday thru Tuesday. Called Stuart a few days prior to leaving and he had nearly a cord of wood delivered AND stacked at the cabin for us when we arrived on Saturday. I think $60.00 is a great deal for the work that Stuart did for us. I offered him 70 and he wouldn't take it. Wood burned great....had a fire in the stove for most of the four days and still have plenty of wood left. He even drove over to the cabin Saturday morning to make sure we liked the wood.

The hunting was terrible....full moon and lots of wind for most of the four days. Did manage to take a doe but didn't see the amount of deer I usually do. Should get better in the next couple of weeks.

Yes that was me. I won't be duck hunting just bow hunting. I'll let you know how we did when I return.

what time do people hunt anyway? we were having some beach shenanigans last weekend at 9:30pm and the neighbors yelled at us to quiet down!! at 9:30! no, they did not polietly ask us tone it down, they yelled from their house. even my 85 year old great aunt and uncle didn't hear us and they are the neighbors on the other side.

as far as i am concerned, 9:30 is a perfectly acceptable time to make noise on the island.

9:30 is way to late for bowhunting. Were they just trying to sleep?

At 9:30, I am normally sleeping. This could be AM or PM, depending on the night, previous.

As far as deer hunting, I like to get an early start, around the crack of noon...About the time I can actually focus.
