Conis,

I know the feeling of your neighbor. Last year it took me three hours to drag that beast out of the swamp. I have told all of my buddies that it was the hardest thing I ever did. I went the next day and invested in a deer cart. Hopefully that will make it somewhat easier the next time. This was on public land and no motorized vehicles allowed. Other places I get the quad runner as close as I can.

I drug one 2.5 miles out a cedar swamp with a leather belt. That was 30 years ago. Took all day.

I have one of those molded plastic kiddy sleds. works great on snow, better than nothing on leaves. $10.

None of that works in 3' of water. Aren't you allowed to use a quad on state land for to/from your blind and retrieving a deer? Check the rules.

Darn I missed out again How do you grow rubber corn it would be great it would take longer to eat so it would last longer. and I'm glad you like draging deer out I'm to old for that and would have a heart attack. If that is part of the hunt then all of us older guys will have to stop. I use my 4-wheeler for draging it is a lot stronger and it don't get as tired. I make sure that I have a kill shot or I don't take it. I don't like to track deer any more and I don't like wounded deer that I have found in the woods laying ded because someone had wounded it. It happens a lot when people snap shout, They hit the deer and it keeps running and they think they missed it and don't follow it or can't follow it because there in a swamp where they can't follow the trail.

My Ethics of deer hunting is called relaxation setting at my cabin with a football game on and a good recliner with something to drink & eat in my hands. I send my tag out into the woods hope it comes back with something attached to it. I have a good time and I don't get wet or freezing cold. Sometimes I leave the window open with a 30-30 setting there. I have seen some nice deer go by while setting there but there timming was off eather a touch down was be scored or a fumble or something no time for deer then. Every once in a while I go hand them an apple out the window or something. But there pretty spooky they useally won't take it out of my hands they make me toss it to them. Like I said deer hunting is pretty hard work. I have to go home after 2 weeks just to rest. And what ever way you want to hunt is up to you if you don't like baiting then don't. If you do and it is legal then do it. And by the way my sucess rate well I can't even remember a year that I haven't taken at least one buck. And you can use any kind of riffle you want as long as it is center fire . Me I use my black powder rifle because I don't get to black powder hunt in Dec. And by the way you should wear pants and a tea shirt while hunting shoes makes noise.

kevin, you got a TV and VCR in your blind?

To grow rubber corn you gots to have rubber corn seeds.

I personally prefer a 50 cal paintball gun but the DNR says they don't allow that beause its too mean and brutal and cruel and might hurt them. I guess I am stuck using bullets.

Conis I have a 52" tv with a built in DVD player. Also a satilite dish on the roof so I can watch the sports channel and see the big bucks on there. I'm going to order some of that rubber corn seed so I can plant it next year. Is the cob's rubber too or does it grow without the cob. I wonder if I can use the same ones every year. Does it grow with out watering? That would be great.

Conis you don't get it you can't use a paintball gun, It turns the deer different colors then you don't know what they are so you won't shoot them.
