I was wondering if anyone had any information on the CUrrier Cottage , my grandfather Fred Currier owned it before passing it away and leaving it to my family. Anywho just wanted to see if anyone kneww anything

As for the history before it became the Currier place, I'm not sure. I always knew it as the Curriers'. Back then it was used most often by Fred and/or Rebecca. It was just one of those cool old cabins along that stretch of road. Old pics on the wall, fire in the fireplace, more for the damp air then the cold. Whatever Rebecca was cooking always had the place smelling good. And a ton of books. Seems like most places from Uncle Tom's to the hotel, and down the "Gold Coast" were more books than anything. Probably some great reads too, of course as a kid, you've got better things to do during the summer than read.

Wow Blue72 you triggered some memories...I always like Rebecca, she was a lot of fun. I saw her up at the old place in 2008 I believe. Still looks the same, still seams to be a free spirit....LOL. I remember there always was a ha-mic in the front when ever some one was up.

thank you! i was just curious ! rebecca is my aunt i havent seen her in some time though.. im actually coming back to the island in the summer i havent been in 4 years so im so excited i love our cabin except for the bats lol i hate the bats , so if u walk by in july ill be putting that hamit back up Smile
