My name is Kevin Gibbons and I am the owner of Gibbons Modular Homes. I was born and raised on Bois Blanc (Boblo). I would like to offer you a way to have the custom built home you want without a lot of worry and hassle and in as little as six weeks.
The Gibbons Modular Homes are built to all the specs of an on site custom home but in a better environment. There is no worry about materials exposed to the elements or sitting outside for someone else's taking. No worries about time delays for bad weather.
The Gibbons Modular Home built by High Tech Housing are a quality built home. Like any other stick built home the choices of what goes into the home are yours. Standard with things such as 6/12 pitch roof system, high quality solid wood cupboards, all wood moldings (no plastic), 32oz carpeting, and not just drywall, but drywall backed with Luan for better insulation, more strength and aids in securing wall fixtures and decorations.
SAVE TIME, MONEY , and TROUBLE- check into the Gibbons Modular Homes. You can contact me at 231-290-3702 cell phone or my office phone 231-597-9811. You can also contact Eric Gibbons on Boblo at 231-818-0577 for brochures and home plans and specifications. If you don't see a plan you like we will build to your design.

How do you get them to the island? I was told (accurate or not) that the width of the gates on Plaunts ferry wouldn't accomodate a 12'-14' wide section?
Just curious.

DUH! I never thought of a barge out to BBI.
Last time I went out to Beaver, I saw 2-3 modulars sitting on a HUGE barge. Load them On/off with a crane. Standard procedure.

Kevin, I was wondering if there are still lots for sale back at the narrows? That is a great little patch of hardwoods on the Twin Lakes, a rare thing on Bois Blanc. I see that there has been some building going on. Are all the lots that face west on the point sold? Those would look out over "Echo Lake" and have beautiful sunsets. Whats the story?
On another subject, you let me metal detect back there some years ago. Did I tell you that I found one of those copper awls? It appears that the Mishinamackinong Indians liked that area too. |

Hi Susie, boy the canoe sure sounds good but I'm back on the ice at the South Pole again. I'll be home in November though, maybe a sleigh ride. The weathers been good, it went down to -95 once but it's staying at the 70's and 80's for the most part. Some great auroras though. I'll send some new pctures. Kevin I'm kind of off the mail route right now, but I plan on doing something when I get home. Right now I'll check out the manufacturers site. |
