The North Shore road was pretty drivable when we were there.. You shouldn't have a problem getting your pop-up out to the camp site.. Take your own special blend of bug spray.. I hear Skin So Soft is great for the beach flies.. Smile

Hi Camille,

Getting back there with a pop-up shouldn't be a problem - of course, who knows if there may be others camping in that spot while you're there. I suppose that can be fun, too.

During what time did your folks own the store?

I notice you're in Pinckney - I just bought a house in Hamburg.

Hope you have a great time on BBI!

Dan

Hi Dan.
My parents bought the store I believe in 85. We had it a couple of years then they bought the boathouse from Jim Nagy and he wasn't a very nice business man and well, things went sour and they ended up moving back down here, regretfully. Hal grew up here in Pinckney so, we moved back here. It's a nice area, as you know, but it has gained quite a lot more people since I started coming out here when I was 11. We actually live in between Hamburg and Pinckney. Do you know where Rush Lake is? That's where we are Smile
I want to say thanks for the info about the north shore to you and everyone else who responded. I'm so excited. We are leaving tonight and going over to the island tomorrow. I can't wait!!
Thanks again!!
